Orange Pi i96 sử dụng vi xử lý RDA8810 và đi kèm với 256MB LPDDR2 SDRAM. Nó tích hợp khe thẻ TF, cổng máy ảnh CSI, USB 2.0, 40 chân header, và nhiều tính năng khác. Nó có thể chạy hệ điều hành Android 4.4, Ubuntu, Debian. Nguồn điện cung cấp cho nó thông qua cổng USB-OTG và có thể sử dụng pin (tùy chọn).
